second, the De-beers company in south Africa has so many diamonds in a warehouse where the hold them to make the price more! If the Russians ever sell the diamonds they have, the market will be flooded and worthless!

Get a other precious stone that will hold value longer like a ruby emerald or Sapphire!

I was planning on a 2 carat stone, but will probably go with 1.98ct or somewhere around there to save money, since it's close enough to 2, and once you hit the 2ct mark, the price jumps significantly.) I want a Verragio Lumino setting, but could take the design to a local jeweler to have it copied, so to speak…

I know a lot of jewelers will run promos, especially now that it's getting close to holidays. You can prolly find a place that won't charge interest for a year or so…that's what they did to my husband. You may be able to work out a deal if you purchase your wedding bands at the same place also.

isn't that the square cut? Really the cut should be determinded by what your girl likes. (I'm assuming you're a guy shopping for your fiance?) So ask her what shape stone she likes. Myself, I only like round or square.

You really need to go to the stores and look at everything. Don't get stuck on sizes, quality, etc. Just know your price range and look on something that fits your (your honeys) style, it needs to be something that shows your love & that you can live with forever!!! Get the man made ones that are so real that they have to put a "mark" on it to show it's not natural. That way you can spend more on the setting which is all that anyone notices anyway.
I am old. When you are older it's fun to get her the ring that you couldn't get for $500-700. Don't be embarrassed now. If you get divorced you'll be glad that you spent $500. If you stay together you can get her the $4,000 and pay cash. True love is so amazing.

dont go to a pawnshop they rip you off every time. go to a good jeweler or put an ad on craigslist. i have sold soooo many things on craigslist. you put up a picture and tell alittle bit about the item being sold then people call you or they reply through email its a great way to sell anything!
